Upcoming
Our February 22, 2012 meeting will have Dr. Bob Neidermayer MD (Family Physician) as a guest speaker. Dr. Bob will speak about Men’s Health (other than prostate).  At our April 18 meeting, Urologist Dr. Steve Schieman will speak about all things prostate.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN) and Prostate Cancer Canada (PCC) want to ensure all Canadians with breast or prostate cancer and their caregivers understand the risks of cancer spreading to the bone and how to prevent serious complications. Join CBCN and PCC with Dr. Roanne Segal, medical oncologist at the Regional Cancer Center in Ottawa, for a free one-hour educational webinar.

Free Educational Webinar on Bone Health
Maintaining bone health is vitally important to people with breast or prostate cancer.

Three out of four people with advanced breast or prostate cancer will experience the spread of cancer to their bones, which may cause serious bone complications.

New Communications Format
In keeping with our PCCN affiliation, our Cranbrook support group will be using a new communication format.

We are giving this a test run today to see if all members can receive this form of attachment to email. If you can’t read this, please raise your hand so I can see if we are being successful.

Often we (Dennis and Peter and I) get messages from the national group and we would like to pass them on to you so that you are informed in a timely manner about Prostate issues. I hope that there will be more of these as we move along.

Remember that our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 22 at 7pm at College of the Rockies.
